What Has Love Got To Do With It?
So Venus just passed over the face of sun. Won’t happen again for over a hundred years. What’s the big deal? Aside from the way her orbit makes a fancy origami pentagram in the heavens or is 95% the size of Earth or is long associated with the divine feminine in global cultures, Venus is the reflection and embodiment of the greatest emotion and virtue any human will ever know. Love.
Many much more qualified astronomers, astrologers, journalists and pundits have opined on this now completed event. But what I want to add to the conversation is this: Where are you open to and resistant to love in your life? Whether you believe that celestial bodies influence anything at all on planet Earth, the energy of this event opens a window for reflection. Venus, the archetype and energy of LOVE has passed in dramatic and glorious fashion between us and the Sun, the archetype of knowledge, awareness and power.

Love has arisen within our awareness now. Today. Where are you in your life now? Where is love? Are you going through the motions or are you really passionate about your life and relationships? We each are given only so many days on this ship. Have you maximized them?
If the answer is no, then what to do? As with any problem, becoming aware there is a problem is more than half the battle. What can you do to bring your heart into your daily interactions? What can you do to express your feelings for those you do love?
If everything is connected, then there are no accidents. And really no coincidences. Coincidences are simply the universal energy matrix reminder email. Hey you. Yeah, you. Are you awake? Are you paying attention? Venus got our attention. She fell into the arms of the powerful, knowledgable Sun, whose rays give us life and abundance. It is a sort of astro kiss. Did you see her winking at us as she slipped past those fiery hands reaching out for her? This is us. This is what we are each called to see and know and bring into our lives. An awareness that we are love and loved and create the experience of love in our interactions with everyone.
The first and most important person to love is YOU. Love is in love with you. Always has and always will. Let go of the stories that keep her from your knowing. She is there. Tickling and warming your heart. Get to know her. And let her settle into your bones. And then turn to those you love and let her shine. Be who you are. Be love.
